WARESLEY-cum-TETWORTH

An Historic Parish In Cambridgeshire

Role Of Honour

Our war memorial stands in the churchyard of St.James' church. The memorial covers World War One and is fairly unique as it lists the full name, battalion, regiment, theatre of war, and age for each man. The memorial was unveiled in March 1920.

The inscription on the memorial is as follows - "In grateful memory of the following men of Waresley, who gave their lives for their King and country, in the great war 1914-18".
